The program is designed to be focused on the individual consumer with personalized content and unique rewards. On January 20, 2015 the My Coke Rewards program was extended until December 31, 2015. This new version relies heavily on social media and many consumers/experts have stated it is marketed towards the teen/early twenties demographic.

Program Details

Codes

Codes are 14 digit numbers found on Coke, Diet Coke, Coca Cola Zero, Sprite, Fanta, DASANI, POWERADE, Minute Maid, Pibb, Fresca, Barq’s, Mello Yellow, Seagram’s, FUZE and TaB. The number sequences are under bottle caps, inside the tear off flap on Fridgepacks or under shrink wrap at the bottom of cartons. Codes are entered onto the My Coke Rewards website to earn points. All codes are worth between 3-25 points depending on the size and volume of the product purchased.

Points

Points are earned by entering codes found on Coke products. Points are collected and eventually redeemed for rewards, to enter sweepstakes, to be donated or to

be used towards online activities. Points expire after 90 days of account inactivity. Consumers can earn bonus points by participating in special time limited promotions or levelling up their status (read “Status” for more information). A maximum of 75 points are awarded each day. This does not include bonus points.

Status

A consumer’s status is access to an expanded rewards catalogue. A status rating is boosted by participating in activities, inviting friends to become My Coke Rewards participants or tweeting. There are three levels of status: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The progression from one level to the next unlocks bonus points, freebies and an expanded rewards catalogue. Consumers can only tweet up to 15 times a day or post on Instagram 15 times a day to boost their status rating.

Activities

Activities on My Coke Rewards are designed for fun and status progression. Activities include contests, sweepstakes, instant win prizes, challenges and social media involvement. Activities marked with a +STATUS icon earn the participant a higher status to unlock rewards. All activities are found on the homepage, brand page and interest pages.

Rewards are both physical and digital. Select rewards are considered a bonus and must be redeemed 12immediately to avoid time constraints or limited quantities. These rewards are found under “Unclaimed Rewards” in the Member Profile. Rewards can’t be returned or traded. Select rewards are only available while quantities last. Most physical rewards have free shipping. “Rewards History” in the Member Profile section displays a complete

log of what was redeemed, what was shipped and when it occurred. Some rewards take up to 10 weeks to arrive.

Sweepstakes

Consumers may choose to spend points to enter sweepstakes. Customers may enter up to 100 times a day. Sweepstake options are offered in the Rewards Catalogue. Consumers can only enter up to 5 times a day for instant win prizes. If a prize is won, the customer is emailed, phoned or snail mailed the good news.

Offers/Promotions

Double points days are notified through social media and email. Emails are the preferred way to learn about limited time offers.
